Logjam Boosts Green Efforts with New Partnership

In an ongoing effort to reduce waste and help Missoula reach its shared goal of Zero by Fifty, Logjam Presents will now proudly serve Boxed Water Is Better®.

Starting July 2nd, Boxed Water will be available to purchase at all Logjam venues including, the Top Hat, Wilma, KettleHouse Amphitheater and soon the ELM. Logjam previously offered aluminum water cans, but believes these boxed waters will be a more suitable solution for its venues.

Boxed Water Is Better® offers 100% purified water inside packaging that’s 92% plant-based, which they tout as “the most renewable package in the water aisle.” The boxed water packaging is 100% recyclable and refillable with some common sense care, so you can reuse it even after the concert is over. One study found that boxed water has a lower impact in every category compared to plastic and a lower total environment profile than aluminum cans. You can learn more here.

In addition to packaged water, Boxed Water Is Better partners with 1% For the Planet, pledging to give 1% of their sales revenue to environmentally-minded organizations, and with the National Forest Foundation, having planted over 1.2 Million trees to date. They’re also making efforts to clean up plastic and trash on beaches through their partnership with Ocean Blue Project.

As always, patrons are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottles to Logjam events to further reduce waste, but Boxed Water will be sold as an alternate sustainable option for people without water bottles.

You can also grab a refillable Logjam Water Bottle or Klean Kanteen cup to use whenever you’re at a show.
