Dispatch & O.A.R. Team Up for Summer 2022 Concert at KettleHouse Amphitheater with G. Love
Alt-roots rock mainstays, Dispatch & O.A.R. have teamed up for an exciting co-headlining concert at KettleHouse Amphitheater on Sunday, July 24, 2022 with the G. Love.
Both Dispatch & O.A.R. have achieved critical acclaim through their impressive music catalogs and are highly respected for their die-hard grassroots audiences that they’ve built through their signature sounds and earnest live performances.
Originating in Vermont and relocating to Boston in the mid 90s, Dispatch released their debut album Silent Steeples in 1996. Their second album Bang Bang came out in 1997 and contains several of their widely known songs including the title track, “Bang Bang,” along with “The General.” The latter was one of the first songs to go viral on Napster. They released Four-Day Trials in 1999, Who Are We Living For? in 2000 and became more popular as they began to tour across the U.S. However, in 2002, the band went on a hiatus until 2012, only performing together for marquee charity shows like The Last Dispatch and Dispatch: Zimbabwe. Fast forward to now, and the band has released four more albums including 2017’s America, Location 12. The album included “Only the Wild Ones,” which reached No. 9 on Billboard’s AAA chart, marking the band’s highest position to date on that chart and their first top 20 track on the radio.
O.A.R. have an equally storied career, and have built a cult-like following that they’ve been growing since they formed in the 90s in Rockville, MD. The band has sold out Madison Square Garden, filled Red Rocks Amphitheater a dozen times and lit up the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration and played The Today Show, The Tonight Show, Live with Kelly and Ryan, the ESPYs and the list goes on. Two popular singles—“Love and Memories” and “Peace”—and the live album Any Time Now went gold as “Shattered” achieved platinum status. They’ve also made it a point to give back, highlighted by their Heard The World Fund and 2018’s The Concert For Dreams.

O.A.R. might just be music’s biggest, best kept secret. The platinum-certified Rockville, MD band has quietly sold out Madison Square Garden twice, filled Red Rocks Amphitheater a dozen times, earned platinum and gold plaques, lit up the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration, and built one of the most committed fanbases in the world.
