Join the ACLU of Montana for an evening of empowerment and celebration at the Catalysts of Democracy: Celebrating Indigenous Voting Rights in Montana on June 2, 2024, at The Wilma Theater in Missoula, Montana.
The free event will include food, fun, and a live DJ! We’ll also be presenting our annual Jeannette Rankin Awards to the American Indian Caucus, a body made up of Indigenous lawmakers who made significant contributions to the 2023 Montana Legislative session.
There will also be a special screening of the ACLU of Montana’s mini documentary: “Indigenous Voting Rights in Montana.” The film showcases the case Western Native Voice v. Jacobson, which successfully challenged state laws that would have had a dire impact on access to voting for Indigenous communities across the state.
We welcome you to commemorate Indigenous voting rights with us and recognize community champions at this special event! Doors open at 4PM, and the event starts at 5PM.
