About Basses Covered
Basses Covered has been blazing their way through Missoula and the region, from Fort Missoula to Paws Up. You might have seen them on First Night (four years running), at Out to Lunch, local festivals, tap rooms, farmers markets, and yes, private patios. Since the summer of 2013, after months of hard-working rehearsals, they’re adding the funnest of miles to their odometer.
Veteran musicians Carla Green (acoustic bass, guitar), Eric Pfeiffer (percussive rhythm and lead guitar), and Marlene Hutchins (guitar, acoustic bass) form this harmony-driven trio. The band covers well-known and little-known songs from their collection of favorite 45s, including songs by Elvis Presley, the Everly Brothers, the Hollies, and The Beatles.
You just might find yourself humming along, tapping your feet, or swing-dancing with a partner. It’s been known to happen.
