Building Kaala’s Village returns this year with even more heart, more momentum, and more room for our community to gather. After a sold‑out response at the Rialto, Mountain Shadow Association is bringing this powerful evening to The ELM, where we can welcome even more people into the movement for children and families across the Apsáalooke Nation and Southwest Montana.
This year’s event will be emceed by Supaman, whose artistry, humor, and deep compassion have become a beloved part of Building Kaala’s Village. Supaman chooses to headline this gathering because the mission is personal to him. He knows firsthand the importance of keeping families together, surrounding children with safety and love, and creating pathways for parents to heal without losing their connection to their culture or their kids. Chris’ 2025 performance still holds a special place in many hearts and this year you can expect to be moved, inspired, and encouraged again. If you are looking for a feel-good evening among friends, this is it.
Kaala’s Village is a first‑of‑its‑kind family healing center designed by and for Apsáalooke families, where parents can recover from addiction, learn construction trades, and rebuild their lives without being separated from their children. It is a place where healing is hands‑on, where relatives teach one another, and where children grow up surrounded by stability, belonging, and the strength of their people.
At Building Kaala’s Village, you’ll hear stories from the ground—stories of parents choosing recovery, relatives stepping forward to teach trades, and children finding joy in Our Children’s House. You’ll meet the leaders, partners, and neighbors who are shaping this work, and you’ll see how a small rural community is building a model that can transform rural Montana communities.
