About Louie Bond & The Country Swing Duo
“Louie Bond & The Country Swing Duo” have several different incarnations. Our quartet version is Stubborn Belly Fat (we also run Stubborn Belly Fat Records). We (Louie Bond and Kimberlee Carlson) are a duo and a 6 piece Western Swing dance band as well as Louie plays with various country and rock bands and Kimberlee-fronts in a classic jazz band. Our 6 piece band “Western Union Swing Band” (3 of the famous Big Sky Mudflaps-David Horgan/steel, Beth Lo/bass and Rich Brickman/drums plus Montanaʼs stellar jazz and country guitarist DR Halsell-Thatʼs right this band is happily guitar heavy!) was the only band chosen for the international Montana Folk Festival 2016. We have opened for Marty Stewart and Hot Rize as well as played, fairs, rodeos city festivals. As a duo Louie and Kimberlee have been gigging in Alberton, Mt for last 4 years from June to September Fridays and Saturdays to entertain locals and tourists at River Edge Resort (2015-2018 and counting).
