Sweatshop Sneakers is a five piece band playing the music of Tahj Kjelland.  Sweatshop Sneakers blends the genres of hip hop, funk, reggae and spoken word. The band is comprised of Tahj Kjelland, lead vocals, Ben Schuberg on keys, Checkers Barker on Drums, and Jessie Christian on Bass.  Tahj has been an active musician/ poet on the scene for over a decade.  Tahj’s musical performance intertwines raw socially conscious flavor’s mixed with rhythm and rhyme to move the crowd. Off In The Woods

The four original members, Jon Schumaker (guitar/vox/bass), Nathan Noble (drums/percussion), Layne McKay (sax/guitar) and Sean Burress (bass/guitar) grew up playing music together in Polson, MT. The newly added fifth member Kyle Daugherty from Woodinville, WA, brings in the smooth sounds of trombone to the mix.

Off in the Woods mainly plays up and down Western Montana where they support a strong local following. They have been breaking into the regional North West circuit by playing shows in Oregon and Sun Valley Idaho.  After four years of gigging hard as Off in the Woods this band is ready and eager for more! They have played a wide variety of shows; big summer festivals, bars, clubs, live radio shows, benefits and small auditoriums. They’re music has even been used on film, the documentary “Ride the Divide” and the independant film “Bella Vista”.

Off in the Woods has prepared four one hour long sets, so they are ready for any long time slot that need to be filled. There are times were the band will mix things up by switching instruments, which their audiances have always loved.  “Our goal is to keep moving the musical art forward, we are not afraid to push the boundaries.
