Living cells contain thousands of enzymes. Enzymes creates music for those cells…

Grown and cultivated for over a decade, Dylan Valley, aka ENZYMES, began with two turntables and a stack of records high in the mountains of Montana. Like seeds, the records sprouted mixed breaks and parties bloomed to the production of ENZYMES’ original compositions. The growth led ENZYMES to be an originator of a critically accomplished hip hop group, (Inhumans) in 2004; while simultaneously establishing ENZYMES’ name in the local electronic scene through dozens of collaborative efforts with various producers, emcees and musicians.

In 2009, ENZYMES transplanted to Portland Oregon and continued as a solo artist, producing self-released albums, digging through music, blowing up parties, music festivals and other venues in the northwest. The topography of the ENZYMES sound distinguished by its rugged bass lines, integrative drum patterns and nostalgic mixes drenched in breaks, deep bass and dub. Sharing stages with major artist such as Bassnectar, Rusko, Beats Antique and Mimosa, Marty Party, Stickybuds and Paper Diamond, ENZYMES is establishing himself as a heavy hitter in the electronic bass music scene.
