About The Fertile Crescent
To fill a void in Missoula, Montana’s music scene, The Fertile Crescent emerged with a mission to play music that entertains, enthuses, and enthralls people of all backgrounds. The group, made up of 7 university music students, has played pieces for musically trained ears for years, and are now dedicated to serving the community of untrained ears by playing the “people’s music.” The tight-pocket rhythm section of drums, bass, guitar, and keyboard (Zach Meyer, Kyle Curtis, Cameron Kinney, Connor Racicot) provides a foundation that then takes flight with the help of the 3-piece horn section (Andrew Kagerer trumpet, Ross Strauser tenor saxophone, James Standish trombone). All with a background in jazz, The Fertile Crescent plays with a sound that serves a universal purpose: passion. This 7-piece soul/rock band will inspire listeners to pursue their passion, music-related or not.
