About The Hasslers
Nearing a decade since their formation, The Hasslers have worn a lot of hats and intend to keep rocking all of them. Formed in Missoula, MT in 2012 by songwriter and lead singer Matt Hassler, these roots-rocking musicians have filled festivals, headlining gigs, and parties all across their great state and beyond. With a new stomping ground in Seattle, WA, their intricate lyrics paired with muscular guitar, weeping pedal steel, air-tight harmonies, and honest live energy have found a new audience far beyond their humble beginnings.
The Hasslers recently headlined Northwest Folklife Festival, Bite of Seattle, Red Ants Pants, Seattle’s Great Pumpkin Beerfest, and played Monterey Cowboy Festival, Paul Allen’s Upstream Music Festival, and great clubs all across their most recent 18 city tour of the Northwest. 2019 sees these Montana natives embarking on two mini tours in anticipation of a senior EP bound to recreate the nostalgia of their early folk, bluegrass, and alt-country stylings, while reinventing themselves with newfound jazz harmonies, road worn storytelling, and a lot of big city blues.
While The Hasslers discography demands a replay for its poetic, close-to-home, yet all encompassing lyrics, their live shows give them the reputation they deserve—as the best guitar ripping, organ shredding, vocal screaming, genre bending, party band you’ve ever had the pleasure to shotgun a beer with before, after, and during their set. Come one, come all; Get Hassled.
