About Tophouse

A lot of people ask us what genre we are. The truth is, we don’t know. Check out some of our music and let us know what you think.

In reality, if you really want to get to know about TopHouse, y’all should shoot us a message and say hi, come to a show, or listen to some music! Why not all three?

Saint of Soldiers

Saint of Soldiers is a five-piece band from Northwest Montana — think heartfelt Americana with teeth — blending bluegrass-infused indie rock, cinematic storytelling, and raw, driving live performance. Named after the town of St. Ignatius in Montana’s Mission Valley, home to the group’s founding members and named for the patron saint of soldiers, the band draws on its rural roots to bridge the past into the present.

Their sound moves between folk, Americana, rock, Midwest emo, bluegrass, and theatrical indie soundscapes, creating music that is both haunting and exhilarating. Through poetic, personal songwriting and full-bodied arrangements, Saint of Soldiers invites listeners to dance through the hard parts of life, holding both beauty and pain without taking either too seriously.

Their work often connects modern emotional storytelling with Montana’s historic spaces. Their debut singles launched alongside immersive music videos and live sessions filmed at landmarks including the Philipsburg Opera House Theatre, the Conrad Mansion, and Paradise Elementary School. Their debut album, Eternal Adolescence, launching June 2026, continues that mission by showcasing unique and historic Montana locations from a fresh perspective. The album received a Recording Fund: Made in Montana grant to support mixing and mastering with Emmy-nominated producer Shadow Devereaux at Area 41 Collective.

On stage, Saint of Soldiers has shared bills with The Droptines, Sterling Drake, Hannah Juanita, the Kitchen Dwellers, Tophouse the Band, and played Logjam’s official afterparty for The Brothers Comatose in Missoula, MT. Together, these performances prove their music defies genre and reaches a wide-ranging audience — from old-soul country and honky-tonk listeners to indie-folk, jamgrass, roots-rock, and high-energy festival audiences.

Saint of Soldiers also scored the Montana PBS documentary Journey to the Sun, chronicling Glacier National Park’s Going-to-the-Sun Road, was selected as a 2025 Montana Performing Arts Consortium Showcase artist, and secured sponsorships from Rattlesnake Cable Co. and Ear Trumpet Labs Microphones.

More than a band, Saint of Soldiers are storytellers, collaborators, and Montana artists using music, place, and memory to make the past feel alive again.
