About Westfork
Westfork is the acoustic love child of Missoula music scene stalwarts Kaya Judah-Nelson (Local Yokel), Kira Bassingthwaighte (Honeybutter), Sam Ore (Shakewell), and whenever possible, Jed Nussbaum (Dodgy Mountain Men). Congealed in this past winter’s clutch as a songwriting vehicle, the project has since germinated into a kinetic live performance that features four vocalists, four soloists, and four distinct tunecrafting styles spun around the timbres of folk and Americana. While the metaphors may run amok, the common thread is a taut string band with a bloodhound’s nose for a good time.
