Blitzen Trapper Rocks The Top Hat (Photo/Review)

June 20th, 2017 marked Blitzen Trapper’s fourth time at The Top Hat since its renovation in 2013. The band’s Portland roots in addition to their experimental folk rock sound typically make them a big hit in the Missoula community. With Marty Marquis (band member) opening the show in a solo set, last night was no exception.

Musically, the evening was comprised of All Across This Land, with a smattering of hits from older albums like Wild Mountain Nation. Eric Earley’s sweet voice washed over the audience. His easy-going melodies were accompanied by the other four members for a snug, unique alt-rock vibe that would occasionally sway towards something more psychedelic or funky.

The key element of the show was the comfort the band had onstage: Blitzen Trapper obviously connects with Missoula and Missoula knows how to throw love back in their direction. Neubauer Media was their to capture the evening. Photo gallery below.
