Soulful, Funky Americana Band Dustbowl Revival Will Return to Missoula & Bozeman
Touring in support of their new album, Venice, CA-based soul-Americana band Dustbowl Revival will return to the Rialto on Saturday, May 30, 2020 and the Top Hat on Sunday, May 31, 2020.
Dustbowl Revival has always been about pushing the boundaries of what American roots music can be. In many ways, they could have continued creating joyful, booty-shaking songs and cut-to-heart folk-rock ballads that lift up their transcendent live shows – and mining new energetic material from the place where folk music, funk and soul meet. Dustbowl is touring behind their fifth studio album Is It You, Is It Me, which came out January 2020.
The band was founded in 2008 in the bohemian enclave of Venice Beach, California. Over the last five years Dustbowl has become known for their free-flowing and joyous live shows, combining their funk rhythm and brass section with a fast-picking string band section – opening for bands as diverse as Lake Street Dive, Trombone Shorty and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, touring China as a guest of the state department and headlining several festivals.
From an Outside Lands Music Festival review, Rob Sheffield, in Rolling Stone, hailed them as a great band “whose Americana swing was so fun I went back to see them again the next day.”
Tickets are on sale now. Complete details can be found in each of the event pages below.
