Sons of Habit gets their name from the trailer where the band first started making music on a piece of land in Habit, KY. It’s where the band’s lead singer, Mitchell Douglas, called home, and brought together his writing partner, Hagan Edge, alongside Dalton Daniels, Jeffrey Parish, and Noah Patrick, to play together. The band’s organic beginnings can be heard in their music and felt in their live show, where they exude a natural chemistry. Although they’ve only been a band for less than a year, the members have a deep rooted history, all growing up in Owensboro, KY. Life took them on a number of different paths – accounting, fork lift sales, and mechanic work – but music ultimately brought them together as Sons of Habit. Since releasing their first single “Madeline” in July 2024, the band has racked up millions of streams and have played shows nationwide, opening for the likes of Ole 60 and Shane Smith & the Saints. Sons of Habit’s debut project, Nostalgia, includes five news songs, entirely cowritten by the band’s Mitchell Douglas and Hagan Edge and produced by Justin Eckerd.

Eternally inspired by his home state of Montana, Cash Murretta couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. The singer, songwriter, and guitarist possesses a voice robust enough to fill up all of that uncharted territory—and then some. Raised on a ranch, this cowboy troubadour weaves together a patchwork of dusty Americana, dyed-in-the-wool country, and western folk equally suited to a campfire flanked by friends or a festival at sunset. Hailing from the tiny town of Belt, he resided a stone’s throw from his family’s cattle ranch. His grandfather played in local favorites Boone and the Buckskins, while mom and dad shared a band together. Cash went from singing at church to picking up ukulele and guitar as a kid. Opting to forego college, he devoted himself to music. He held down a day job as a stagehand at The Newberry, and he gigged around town wheneverpossible. In 2024, he caught fire when his cover of “El Paso” by Marty Robbins went viral on TikTok. Rather than focus on covers, he doubled down on originals, generating millions of views on “If Montana Is This Pretty,” “Hopeful Song,” and “She’s Had Enough.” Along the way, he also shared the stage with everyone from Jesse Daniel to Aaron Tippin and The Bellamy Brothers.
