ZACC Mini Show Fundraiser Moves Online
Our beloved Zootown Arts Community Center was supposed to be gearing up for their Mini Show at the Wilma on Saturday, March 28th. The Mini Show is the ZACC’s annual event where dozens of artists contribute to an incredible silent auction of ‘mini’ and ‘maxi’ pieces – along with a variety of experience packages. It also includes a stunning live auction, specialty desserts, and a Golden Ticket to any and all Logjam Presents shows for an entire year.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the ZACC (like us) has had to cancel all of their upcoming classes and events, including the Mini Show at he Wilma.
The fact is, like many other Missoula institutions, the ZACC is not in a financial position to be closed to the public, cancel events, or postpone fundraisers. They just opened their new downtown facility in late October, and they need the income generated from these events. Many of the artists who donated their work for the ZACC Mini Show are also facing an uncertain future, and will be relying on their percentage of the sale to pull them through.
To support these artists, the ZACC mission, and to continue on the best they can, The ZACC has decided to move the event to an online platform.
The online event will begin on Wednesday, March 25 and end on Saturday, March 28. The auction will still have a live portion on Saturday evening for one hour. The ZACC will be releasing videos throughout about the different pieces of art and sharing performances and videos online that were originally intended for the event.
The ZACC is working around the clock right now to get the event page and online auction up and running. Stay tuned, as we’ll be sharing the link to the auction as soon as we have it.
Logjam Presents is a strong support of the ZACC and we believe it is a vital arts hub for this community. With that said, we encourage you to check out the auction to see if there’s an item that you would want. The proceeds from this event will go a long ways to help the ZACC and in turn, the Missoula community. Thank you all so much for hanging in there and making this community so great… even when the times get tough.
