In addition to violin, Bird is also skilled at playing the guitar, mandolin, and glockenspiel… not to mention he’s an expert whistler. He released his first solo album, Music of Hair, in 1996. Since then, he has released more than 15 albums and EPs. A few of his biggest hits include “Sisyphus,” “Pulaski at Night,” and “Roma Fade.”

In 2020, his album My Finest Work received a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album. His latest album, Inside Problems, was released in 2022. Glide Magazine called it his “most accessible album yet” and said it “delivers a welcoming sense of openness as lush, acoustic-based indie-pop flows throughout this ever-evolving artist’s stout offering.”
