After languishing in the cellars of subgenre for the better part of a decade, the four youngest sons of Garnet, Montana’s infamous Evening family have returned to the well of great American song craft in a true rock ‘n’ roll quartet called EVENING REDNESS OUT WEST. This family band aims to reignite the traditions which defined the rock band in its inception into the stereo channels of a mountain valley’s echoing: Loud, combat wounded electric strings following the lead of a bombastic, despotic beat. EVENING REDNESS OUT WEST play like a Bristol barn burning, with elements of country, folk, and blues songwriting merging under the smitty’s hammer, the drummer’s foot. It’s not country rock, it’s rock ‘n’ roll made by country boys. Influences range from Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Townes Van Zandt, and Mission Mountain Wood Band to Slint, Meat Puppets, and the Minutemen. Featuring the vocal and guitar talents of Red Evening and Sweet Keaton Evening, with the dynamic rhythm section of their younger older brothers Alias Evening on bass and Wes Evening on drums.
