Join Us! Protect Our Winters (POW) believes that the people who love the outdoors should be on the front line of protecting the experiences they love from the effects of climate change. Join POW Athletes, Scientists, and Creatives for an evening of films, discussions, and community on Wednesday, October 18th. Doors open at 6 pm, and films start at 7 pm.POW will showcase three films at the Missoula Stoke Fest, featuring professional runner and Missoula local Mike Foote, POW Creative Alliance member Micheli Oliver in her debut film, and the premiere of professional skier Amie Engerbretson’s 2022/2023 winter film, Hypocrite, where she explores her own perceived hypocrisy and dissecting her inner battles with advocating for the planet while pursuing sports that burn fossil fuels and living a life full of travel, with a potentially significant carbon footprint.
