About The International Wildlife Film Festival

The International Wildlife Film Festival opening night film, Lost Wolves of Yellowstone. This documentary explores the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone National Park in 1995, presenting the project’s challenges, triumphs, and long-lasting impact. Through restored 16mm archival footage and in-depth interviews, Lost Wolves of Yellowstone revisits the pioneering work of scientists and conservationists who fought to restore balance to one of the country’s most iconic ecosystems, and offers a powerful look at the complex relationship between humans and the wild. Following the film, there will be a Q&A session with director Thomas Winston and editor Avela Grenier.
