Missoula – get ready to dance your way into the New Year with the funkiest beats and most psychedelic grooves around! Zootown’s own Mark Myriad & The Honeyhorns are teaming up with Transcendental Express for an epic NYE Dance Party at the Top Hat on Dec. 31st!
From 9pm – 2am, you’re invited to come and let loose for a night of big beats interweaved with live jams from veteran DJ Mark Myriad, brass collective The Honeyhorns, and psychedelic funk fusion band Transcendental Express.
The Top Hat has a storied past of unforgettable dance parties and there’s no doubt that this locally sourced sonic soiree will be etched into the hearts, minds, bodies, and souls of all who attend for eternity.
If we have anything to say about it – 2023 will not go quietly and 2024 will not come bashfully. Your job is simple. Get your ticket now and prepare to party like it’s the last party you’ll ever experience in 2023, because should you make the wise decision to come to his show, it will be.

Leave it to Mark Myriad to set the vibe and deliver the music we all want to hear. Engineer by day, DJ and Event Curator by night, Missoula’s Mark Myriad stays true to his name when he steps behind the decks. An avid record collector and a true music lover at heart, Myriad (aka Mark Chumrau) adventures through all genres with an ear for the very best sounds, reliably finding tunes to engage every type of listener. Observant and creative, he reads the room and curates welcoming and memorable atmospheres as the ultimate selector and host. A veteran on the Missoula DJ scene, Mark has been making people dance around western Montana for well over a decade and has shared the stage with Turkuaz, Chris Lake, Shakewell, Big Gigantic and many many more. He has hosted an array of recurring dance parties in Missoula including Drop Culture, Motown on Mondays, and Funky Disco Soul, and currently holds a residency downtown at The Badlander with FOMO Fridays.
Through his art gallery and gathering space in Missoula, Suite Two, Myriad curates events and creates a collaborative atmosphere for musicians and artists of all kinds to explore their craft, and provides a space for community members to communicate their cause. Mark also organizes and hosts the Missoula Funk Festival held annually in Silver Park on the first Sunday in July, both of which are programs of his non- profit, KEEP MISSOULA FUNKY, a local 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing the vitality of arts and culture in the Missoula area and cultivating community through art and music. He can usually be found supplying the tunes to the coolest parties around town, so if you catch wind bring your friends and prepare to get down!!

Missoula’s Homegrown Psychedelic Funk Fusion Quintet Transcendental Express weaves seamlessly between funk & samba, jazz & disco, and metal & latin music, all with a tip of the hat to their improvisational heroes past and present.
Since sharing the stage with regional touring titans like March Fourth Marching Band, Kitchen Dwellers, Fruition & Spunj, they’ve learned how to adapt to their musical surroundings and unite a dance floor.
This is what happens when five people from completely different musical backgrounds get together and play. The unexpected becomes expected, and sometimes even the players aren’t sure what’ll happen next.
